About Me

I was born in Detroit, Michigan in November of 1976. The oldest of three brothers, I grew up in a lower-middle class suburb of Detroit, where I graduated in 1994. My family moved to an upper-middle class suburb further north where both of my brothers graduated. While I don’t want to pretend that the resources available at both school districts were always the same, I know that I still received a good education, and have come to realize that an extremely important factor in the quality of a student’s education is the engagement level from the families, the teachers and the surrounding community. Both my brothers and I were lucky that we received tremendous support throughout our time in the public school system.

After being forced to realize that I wasn’t ready for college immediately after graduating high school, I entered the workforce, first as a Computer Animated Design Technician, before moving into the I.T. field. By the time I left Michigan, I had completed college and had worked my way up to a role as an Implementation Specialist and, more importantly to me, Software Trainer. This was the role that brought me to Massachusetts in 2011.

My family and I moved to Fall River in the summer of 2021. I have a stepson who graduated from Bristol-Plymouth Technical High School and is off charting his own path in the world, as well as two daughters, both sixth graders at James Madison Morton Middle School, who are still learning how to use all of the navigational tools at their disposal.

When not spending time working as a Cybersecurity Analyst in Mansfield or being with my family, I can usually be found playing goaltender at the lowest level of hockey I can find or traveling the Northeast watching my wife’s favorite band, Guster, who has also become my favorite band.
